On 9 January 1945 A19-213 was written off in a take off accident which killed the pilot, however the navigator escaped with bruises and shock.
The focus of operations continued to be vital installations of the Japanese, especially bridges. In late February 1945 sorties were reduced due to a shortage of bombs and also a lack of targets as the same areas were constantly patrolled.
